Deputy Assessors Sworn Into Position

Deputy LaSalle Parish Assessors Blake Phillips, Janice Stringer, Jeanine Mulvihill, DeeDee Bordelon and Jaime Brock were administered their oaths of office last Thursday, Jan. 2, during a brief ceremony in the Courtroom of the LaSalle Parish Courthouse. LaSalle Assessor Tom Kendrick took his oath just prior to the deputies being sworn in. LaSalle District Attorney J. Reed Walters administered the oath of all the officials, who began new terms on January 1, 2013. Kendrick was elected as new parish assessor in the fall of 2011, but his term did not begin until Jan. 1, 2013. His first term will end on December 31, 2016. Kendrick succeeds Aron Johnson, whose term expired Dec. 31, 2012. Johnson had replaced retired Assessor Jimmy Dean who served in the position for 32 years before retiring in 2008.
